It’s really shitty about Aaron and how he’s clearly not okay but what on earth can Robert do? He gave Aaron many opportunities to change his mind and go with him to visit Seb. Robert can’t force Aaron. He can’t make him feel okay about everything. Robert KNOWS Aaron is having a difficult time.

I know most of you don’t want to hear it but the most important person right now is Seb. And Robert needs to mend things with Rebecca and play by her rules so that he doesn’t lose access to his son.

Maybe Robert thinks this is the way to get Seb back into Aaron’s life.

Maybe Robert is completely at a loss as to what to do.

Maybe Robert acknowledges Aaron’s pain but is stuck dealing with his own.

Maybe by allowing Aaron to pretend he’s okay, Robert thinks things eventually will be.

This whole week demonstrated the love Aaron and Robert have for Seb and each other. It’s shown us how important their family is. It’s shown us how much Seb means to Aaron. This story is just kicking off. We have lots to look forward to. Aaron and Robert have a lot to unpack and unpack it they will.

Neither Robert nor Aaron are in the wrong here. They’re doing what they think is right in an impossible situation.

It’s utterly heartbreaking to watch but it’s so deliciously good.
