Coira had a physical beating that was glossed over just before the reunion and arguing up to and directly following the reunion, separation in that Moira isn’t involved in Ross’s acid attack story the way Cain is and Cain is keeping that secret from her, very few ‘family’ scenes with Isaac, Moira isn’t really part of a story right now, and they’ve had one post-reunion scene of major affection to lead to Faith being kicked out.

Robron are having constant family scenes with Seb, working as a team against Joe and dealing with Rebecca and Liv’s story, having open and honest communication, no arguments since the reunion, both consistently on screen and together, shown to be very happy together and making time to be together.

In fact the only couple on the show being particulary affectionate right now is Vanity, and that’s because they’re brand new and it’s obviously leading to them having difficulties when Charity’s secret comes out. Intimate scenes with couples tend to be for plot anyway (e.g Bernice and Daz making out was for Gabby to see), and some worse writers care less about showing casual affection between couples. I definitely want to see more affection between Robron but it not happening right now isn’t an issue because it isn’t the point of these scenes, whereas the scenes in a few weeks of Robert rescuing Aaron will no doubt be very romantic and focused on them. Has there been times in the past where a lack of closeness between Robron has felt like the powers that be trying to keep the show conservative? Yep, definitely, but I don’t think we can say that when Vanity are making out on couches, you know? The problem just seems to be poorer writers writing episodes not focused on Robron, and so they’re missing Robron intimacy opportunities… which isn’t that big of a deal really because it’s the same with all couples, and when it is focused on Robron the affection is a m a z i n g (but that’s a different rambling post for a different day).

Anyway it feels redundant to say that intimacy is lacking with Robron like the show is singling them out when it’s actually across the whole show, and there are other couples who, in my opinion, seem less close than Robron right now.
